The tour meets at the Baltimore Water Taxi pier in Fells Point, located at 901 South Broadway. Travelers (locals and visitors alike) will meet Highwire’s hosts dockside and bask in the calm harbor vibes.
Participants will triumphantly but safely march down the pier onto the vessel ‘DOWNTOWN’ creating a measurable amount of jealousy concentrated in Fells Point.
The adults in the room will drive the boat while the audience sings songs, learns (no guarantees), plays games, and re-invents Old Bay.
Everyone will disembark as changed human beings.
Katie began her improv journey in 2018 under the guise of professional development as part of a class in grad school. She fell in love with the way improv could turn a group of science nerds into funny, cohesive performers and she’s been hooked ever since. Katie has performed with various groups, including Babeprov in Baltimore and Game Knights at The Armory in NYC. She considers Highwire Improv her home base and when she’s not doing improv, she’s working as a food ingredient regulator, knitting, or snuggling her pets.
Misty stepped into the improv pool 6 years ago and has not looked back. She got her footing at Baltimore Improv Group through curriculum and workshops from various BIG instructors of the form. Digging into opportunities to learn from so much talent including Don Fanelli (UCB), Kate Zelensky (UCB), and Travis Charles Ploeger (iMusical- WIT). She has also enjoyed playing with Maryland Improv Collective and can presently be found camped out on Highwire’s front stoop. Misty she’s and is also a they/them and can be found on two wheels tooling about town, so drive carefully!
“Improv helps the world laugh, and listen” -Misty
