Highwire Improv Publishes 2025 Impact Report
Baltimore, MD (Jan. 29, 2026) — Highwire Improv, a non-profit theater committed to fostering creativity and community engagement through improv, has published their 2025 Impact Report highlighting the organization’s significant work in community development, artistic excellence, and exceptional stewardship.
The 2025 Impact Report is available on Highwire Improv’s website, as well as on Guidestar, where Highwire Improv has a Platinum transparency rating.

This year’s impact report highlights Highwire Improv’s most expansive and transformative year, including the opening of The Highwire Center, a 1400 sq. ft. performance space, education center, and community gathering hub in Highlandtown, funded in part by a Project Restore 2.0 Grant from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, sub-granted through the Southeast Community Development Corporation. Highwire hosted over 150 events in the new space since opening in September.
Highwire Improv expanded the delivery of its flagship community arts program, Improv in Every Neighborhood, delivering 27 free workshops, reaching 222 participants, to 14 neighborhoods across the city.
Finally, in their effort to make improv the world’s most accessible art form for participants and a sustainable art form for practitioners, Highwire Improv paid over $70,000 to improv performers and teachers, while building a $10,000 cash reserve, known as the Last Laugh Fund to ensure organizational stability even as growth continues.
‘We are thrilled to share our 2025 Impact Report and demonstrate that community arts organizations can thrive and grow even as federal arts funding is under attack, and deliver critical programming to Baltimore,’ said Barry Wright, Highwire Improv co-founder and President of the Board.
