Highwire Improv Team

LoS CoMpLiCaDoS

Pennsylvania’s first Latino improv troupe, a vibrant ensemble that celebrates the beauty and complexity of Latinidad through spontaneous storytelling, comedy, and heart. Founded in 2024 by teaching artist and entrepreneur Vanessa Codorniu, the troupe emerged from a one-night “Latino Improv Night” during Hispanic Heritage Month through Raíces Creativas and quickly grew into an ongoing collaboration of comedians, actors, and improvisers from the Harrisburg Improv Theatre. What started as a dream to create a space for Latinx and bilingual voices has become a movement of connection and representation. Mixing quick wit, Spanglish flair, and lived experience, the CoMpLiCaDoS transform every stage into a celebration of family, identity, and belonging. From performing with Tito Puente Jr. to bringing joy to festivals, colleges, and community events across the region, the troupe continues to prove that improv — and laughter — belong to everyone. Every show is a reminder that what makes us complicados is exactly what makes us shine.
