The Letter is a show set in the tumultuous period from 1967 to 1968 within which our characters address issues still relevant over 50 years later. The show is revealed letter by letter as shared between the players whose love of words and word play become evident early on. Authentic cultural, social and political issues of the period underscore often how far we have not come. With ample opportunity to explore anachronisms and cliches, these little life stories, and relationships reveal an inherent timelessness. It turns out seemingly inconsequential encounters may, in retrospect, greatly impact our lives. Accidentally funny, serendipitously poignant, delightfully engaging…prepare to be transported to a time in the US when rockets first headed to the moon, The Beatles were still together, free love reigned and “the draft” was on every one of a certain generation's mind.
