Baltimore, MD (Jan. 1, 2025)  — Highwire Improv, a non-profit theater committed to fostering creativity and community engagement through improv, is excited to announce ImprovScape, a new show series that highlights and explores the work of local Baltimore artists through comedy! ImprovScape, produced by Barry Wright, a co-founder of Highwire Improv, aims to bring Baltimore’s artists to new audiences by presenting art of all disciplines alongside improv comedy performances in a wide variety of venues.  In each show, a cast of improvisers will interview an artist, exhibit the artist's work, and then build a fully improvised, hour-long comedy show based on the themes, history, influences, and ideas of the artist! The next installation of ImprovScape will be on Thursday, January 9th at Peabody Heights Brewery, featuring an exhibition and interview with Erin Barry-Dutro.  Tickets are $10 and are available via Eventbrite or at the door.  The show runs from 7pm-8pm with an open community improv jam to follow. Artists, collectives, or galleries interested in hosting an ImprovScape show are encouraged to contact Highwire Improv.
